Conductor and composer, Carlo Tenan has conducted renowned orchestras such as Santa Cecilia's National Symphony Orchestra,  Maggio Musicale Fiorentino's Symphonic Orchestra, the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Mannheim's Theatre Orchestra, Venice's La Fenice Theatre Orchestra,  Linz's Orchestra Bruckner, the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, Maribor's Theatre Orchestra, the Teatro Massimo Orchestra in Palermo Orchestra, Oldenburg's Theatre Orchestra and Innsbruck's Theatre Orchestra. His repertoire extends from Bach and Pergolesi to Bernstein and to Uri Caine.
